1.
Locate the yellow power cord attached to the Fan Filter Unit and
follow it to the junction box located on top of the cleanroom.
2.
Making sure all power to the cleanroom is off, and twist the black
cap counter-clockwise off the threads to the remove the cord.
3.
Roll the power cord up and place it close to the Fan Filter Unit being
removed. Since the Fan Filter Unit is hard wired, you want the cord rolled up
close to the Fan Filter Unit so when you pull it down the wires do not
get snagged or catch on other wires.
4.
Attach double stick tape to all four sides of the polypropylene panel,
as shown at right.
5.
Place Polypropylene panel over the filters mesh area; making sure it
does not rest on the frame. This will protect the mesh area while it’s
being handled.
6.
Push one end of Fan Filter unit up 18-24” and pull back around 10”.
7.
Rotate the Fan Filter Unit 90° and lower through the ceiling grid.
8.
Place Fan Filter Unit on a flat work surface and change the filter.
9.
After replacing the reverse steps 1 through 7 to reinstall the Fan
Filter Unit in the ceiling grid.
