Installation
Install the scales, indicator and valve in a suitable place on the forklift. It can be
mounted in all positions, except with the 120 mm side horizontal. Connect the pressure-
oil hose (1/4” BSP hose on the valve’s P-course.) to the forklifts lifting cylinder. Connect
the return hose (1/4” BSP hose on the valve’s T-course.) to the forklift’s return-system
or directly to the tank. If you have to dismount the indicator from
the scale, make sure that you disconnect the hose from the
scale, not the indicator. This is to avoid oil leaks and air getting
into the system. Plug the hose when you have dismounted it.
If there is no response on the indicator when the valve button is
pressed, the oil between the scale and the indicator has
probably leaked out. If so, please follow the procedure on the
next page.
Calibration
The indicator must never come within the red field during
weighing.
Make sure the tower is vertical (not tilted).
Zero adjustment:
With no load: Hoist the forks up a bit, then lower slightly. Press
and hold the valve button. Grip the two black knobs mounted on the glass and
turn the glass. The dial will follow. Turn until the indicator is at 0 (zero). The
scales is now zeroed. Release the valve button. The indicator will drop below
zero. This is because there now is no pressure in the scales.
Calibration:
Use the truck to lift an object with a known weight (heavier than half
the truck’s lifting capacity) and lower to desired weighing position. Press and hold
the valve button. Read after three seconds.
If the scales show more than the object weighs (for example 1500kg reads
1600kg on the scales): Turn the adjustment screw under the scales inwards.
If the scales show less than the object weighs (for example 1500kg reads 1400kg
on the scales): Turn the adjustment screw under the scales outwards.
The valve must not be activated, and no load or pressure must be on the scale.
How much you need to adjust the screw depends on the deviation from the
referenced weight used. For each adjustment, repeat the zero adjustment
procedure. Repeat until the scales show the correct weight.
Finally, grip the black rubber ring and turn the scales casing until the TEO mark is
at the bottom in a horizontal position.
The most accurate measuring result is obtained with a fully vertical mast (not
tilted). NOTE: There will be incorrect indication on some trucks when the forks
are almost at the bottom or top. This has to be tested. Trucks with a triple mast
must use the lower or upper rung each time.
