Changing the DTMF tone duration
You can change the DTMF tone duration (DTMF = dual tone multi frequency) if
automatic direct access tone dialling (DTMF) is switched on (
®
p. 58). This can be
necessary if an answering machine does not react to signals from your telephone.
Some answering machines require a pulse duration of 100 ms (fast), others a pulse
duration of 500 ms (average). Your telephone is preset to 1000 ms (slow).
Changing the DTMF tone duration
Press the “Menu” function key.
Scroll to the Settings menu item.
Confirm your selection.
Scroll to the Dial settings menu item.
Confirm your selection.
Scroll to the DTMF duration slow menu item.
Confirm your selection. The current setting is displayed in brackets
(“[slow]”).
Select the desired setting, for example medium.
Confirm your selection.
