Joystick operation of the 3
d
brush (optional)
(figure 2, no. 12)
This joystick operates the third brush. The third brush has two swivel points, each with a
separate swivel motor. The position of the joystick determines the rotation of the swivel
motors in the horizontal plane. Which of the two swivel motors is operated, depends on the
direction in which the joystick is moved:
•
press left to turn the first brush arm anti-clockwise.
•
press right to turn the first brush arm clockwise.
•
press forward to turn the second brush arm anti-
clockwise.
•
pull backward to turn the second brush arm clockwise.
•
by pushing the joystick diagonally, both swivels will turn
simultaneously, making the third extremely flexible.
The joystick has three function switches:
Rotate 3
d
brush
3
d
brush up/down
Angle adjustment of 3
d
brush
Good control of the third brush can only be realized through thorough training.
Inexpert operation could cause damage to the vehicle and/or the third brush
system and give rise to hazardous situations.
