ASSEMBLE MACHINE:
ATTENTION: Do Not bend the steering shaft
except for the slight bend necessary to install
it onto the machine. (Fig. 28)

1. Use an alcohol wipe (6) to clean oil from the
inside the bore of the new steering coupling
(3) and both ends of the new steering shaft
(1).
Do Not
clean the flexible portion of the
steering shaft. (Fig. 29)

2. Slide the new steering shaft (1) into the
bottom of the steering channel and up into
flange bearings and steering sprocket. Insert
the new key (7) into the steering shaft before
sliding the steering shaft into the upper flange
bearing.
DO NOT COMPLETELY TIGHTEN
ANY SET SCREWS UNTIL INSTRUCTED
TO DO SO.

3. Position the steering shaft in the steering
