Millivolt System Control Options
Burner ON/OFF Control
Several options are available to turn the burner ON/OFF. These
options include: WRD-1 standard ON/OFF remote, WRST-K
thermostatically controlled remote, WSW Millivolt wall switch or
GFPMT Millivolt wall thermostat.
For installation of these options, detailed instructions are
provided with each kit.
CAUTION: If a remote receiver is located in the gas control
area (under the firebox), clearance should be below the firebox
at least two (2) inches to avoid high temperatures (receiver
should not be exposed to temperatures exceeding 130
°
F). The
log set should not be modified to accept any other type of
remote control as no guarantee may be made regarding proper
function. Refer to remote manufacturer’s instructions for battery
replacement.
IMPORTANT: If connecting a wall switch, thermostat or remote
control, use only the top and bottom control valve terminals for
attachment of the wire leads (do not use center terminal of
terminal block). (Figs. 9 and 10)
Remote Control Information
The remote receiver does not need to be secured to the
VFL34R(N,P) base, but can be placed along side of the log/
base assembly, (larger fireboxes only) in a wall mounted switch
box, or placed near the logset on the fireplace hearth exten-
sion.
