Post Answer Transfer
With this feature enabled, you can send a call that has been answered by the Port
1 telephone to another SLSS port. To use this feature after answering a call on Port
1, enter the Post Answer Transfer Code for the next port. Once you have answered
the call on Port 1, you have 15 seconds to enter a Port Answer Transfer Code. (The
codes are listed in Table 2.)
Post Answer Transfer Codes correspond to the port numbers. Replace the “x” in
#0x
with the number of the port to which the call will be routed. For example,
to transfer a call to Port 2, enter #02, Port 3, enter #03, etc.
❑
For example, After answering it on Port 1, send a call to Port 6 enter #06
within 15 seconds.

routed has completed the programmed number of rings. In either case, you have
15 seconds to enter a new transfer code.
To use this feature, the calling modem must be programmed not to hang up on
loss of carrier. Please see the modem’s manual for programming instructions.
❑
Make sure Post Call Routing has been enabled. If not, return to the Local or
Remote Standalone Programming instructions and do so.
❑
Dial the SLSS telephone number and listen for three beeps.
❑
Enter the transfer code for the first port you wish to call. (If you have
enabled the Transfer Code Acknowledgment Tone, you will hear a tone.)
❑
After completing the call and hearing dial tone, the called modem must
hang up. If you have enabled the Transfer Code Acknowledgment Tone,
you will hear a tone, then enter a second transfer code to ring the other
desired port.

Modem Disconnect on Loss of Carrier
Any priority disconnection delay during a polling call will be minimized if the
polling modem “Loss of Carrier” disconnect time delay is set to a minimum
acceptable duration. This duration is called the Modem Disconnect on Loss of
Carrier and is a programmable option on most modems. (Refer to the manual
accompanying your modem for further information.)
