1.5 Quick Start Method
1. Plug in the WorldNav 3000 XL to the 12v cigarette
lighter in your vehicle. Plug the power cord into
the lower of the two holes on the right side of the
GPS. The GPS will power on when you turn your
car on.
2. If you purchased your WorldNav 3000 XL directly
from TeleType Co., it has been prepared for use
in your home state. You may choose to use a
Secure Digital Card in the future, however it is not
required for immediate operation of the GPS. If
you purchased the Deluxe or Premium WorldNav
version, it includes a Secure Digital Card which
has already been inserted into the GPS (you can
see it at the top of the GPS). The Deluxe version
(1 gigabyte card) has been prepared with the
entire United States and 3 million points of
interest. If you purchased the Premium version, it
has a 2-gigabyte Secure Digital Card inserted into
your GPS. The 2 GB card has been prepared with
the entire United States and 12 million points of
interest. To insert your Secure Digital Card in the
top of the GPS, make sure the metal connection
points on the card match with those visible inside
the device. To remove the card press down on
the card, it will pop up and you can then remove
the card from the slot.
