Getting started with your 3000XL

Review the main menu
Review the main menu. The main menu is accessed
anytime you press the <Menu> space on the touch
screen. There are fifteen entries on the main menu
which is spread out over 5 screens. They are in
alphabetical order:
·
2D/3D—to change between two and three
dimensional views. NOTE: You will not see the
names of most roadways on the 3D view but the
map will look more realistic.
·
Brightness—to change the brightness of the touch
screen.
·
Calibration—allows for the calibration of the screen
using the stylus and a calibration crosshair on the
screen. It is self explanatory and requires your
stylus and a few minutes of time. It keeps your
screen accurate.
·
Exit—to exit the menu and the map and enter the
Opening Screen.
·
Find—to open the Find Wizard that helps you locate
an address, a Point of Interest (POI), Intersection or
listed Waypoint.
·
GPS—to list GPS information such as latitude,
