Triggers
Triggers tell the oscilloscope when to perform an acquisition.
Available trigger types are described at more length in the
WaveSurfer 510 Oscilloscopes Operator’s Manual.
From the Front Panel
Press to open the Trigger setup dialog.
Press to control acquisition processing:
Auto – trigger after a preset period if there is no valid trigger.
Normal – trigger repeatedly whenever all conditions are met.
Single – trigger once when all conditions are met.
Stop – stop acquisition.
Turn to raise or lower trigger voltage Level. Push to find a level.
READY lights when trigger armed; TRIG’D lights when trigger fired.

From the Display
Touch to choose trigger Type.
Touch to choose Source channel, or drag the channel descriptor box
onto the Source field.
Touch to set Trigger Level (V) or let software automatically Find
Level.

Make any other settings required by the trigger type, such as
Coupling and Slope.
