Press Enter

2. This diagnostic confirms the ability of the TSG 95 to create an on-screen

character display (OSD). First connect the instrument output to a video mon-
itor, then press Enter. The OSD characters will be superimposed on the vid-
eo signal. As usual, exit this diagnostic by pressing the 

Y

 or 

B

 key.

3 KEYPAD TEST

Press Enter

3. To test the action of any or all of the keys, press Enter, then press any key

that you wish to test. If the key is working properly, its unshifted “name”
will be written to the second line of the display as long as you hold the key
down. For instance, the display should look something like this when you
press the Tone On/Off key down:

“Enter to Quit” will appear when you release the key. When you have
checked all the keys of interest, press Enter. to quit this diagnostic.

4 PROG ROM CSUM

Press Enter

4. Press Enter. The instrument will take a few seconds to calculate the Program

ROM Checksum and write it to the lower display line. The correct value of
the sum will depend on the version of the software in the instrument. Exit
this diagnostic by pressing the 

Y

 or 

B

 key, as usual.
