is CH<x>, MATH<x>, or REF<x>, and is the waveform that will be
saved.
REF<x>
is the location where the waveform will be stored.
<file path>
(on instruments with the Options 1F or HD File System) is a
quoted string that defines the file name and path. Input the file path using the
form
<drive>/<dir>/<filename>
.

and one or more
<dir>
s are
optional. If you do not specify them, the digitizing oscilloscope will write the
file to the current directory.
<filename>
stands for a filename of up to 8
characters followed by a period (“.”) and the proper 3-character extension.
Internal format waveforms use the “
WFM
” extension. The TDS 400A, 500C,
600B, and TDS 700C can also use a “
CSV
” extension for spreadsheet format files
or a “
DAT
” extension for MathCad format files.
The current directory refers to the name of a directory as returned by the
FILESystem:CWD query.
SAVE:WAVEFORM MATH2,REF1
saves the math 2 waveform in reference memory location 2.
SAVE:WAVEFORM MATH1,TEK00000.WFM
saves the math1 waveform to the file
TEK00000.WFM
in the default directory and
on the default drive.
SAVe:WAVEform:FILEFormat

Specifies the file format for saved waveforms.
