Using the Menus
This section describes the function of each selection available in the menus. This
section is divided into the following subsections:
Menus in the Play Screen
describes all of the menu commands and their
features available in the Play screen.
Menus in the Record Screen
describes all of the menu commands and their
features available in the Record screen.
Toolbar Buttons
describes the toolbar buttons and their functions.

Menus in the Play Screen
This subsection describes the menus available in the Play screen.
File Menu
The File menu in the Play screen contains commands for selecting a stream file and
for loading and saving a preset file. This menu also contains commands for exiting
the MTX100A application and for shutdown of the instrument. Table 3-1 describes
the commands in the File menu.
Table 3-1: File menu commands (Play screen)
Command
Description
Open
Opens a stream file stored in the E: drive (volume E). When a file is
selected, the MTX100A checks the packet size of the file. When it is a
transport stream file, its data is output in packets. Therefore, if an
incomplete packet is included at the start or end point of the file, the
portion is not output. The available minimum data size is 104 Kbyte.
When you select this command, the Select File dialog box appears. Refer

on page 3-4 for more information.
Load Preset
Loads the specified preset file (*.set). When a preset file is loaded, the
current instrument settings are changed by the file's content. Refer to
Preset File
beginning on page 3-63 for more information about the preset
file.
Save Preset
Saves the current instrument settings as a preset file. Refer to
Preset File
beginning on page 3-63 for more information about the preset file.
RECORD
Switches to the Record screen.
Minimize
Minimizes the MTX100A application window.
