Procedures

Reformatting the SCSI Drives

CAUTION.

All data stored on the SCSI drives will be lost when they are reset. Ensure that any important data is backed up.

Two SCSI (small computer system interface) hard drives are used for MPEG

fi

le storage. If the drives have become

corrupted, they should be reset using the following procedure:

1.

Insert the

MTS400 Series system Operating System Restore DVD

in the CD-ROM drive. Locate the

SCSI_DRV

folder.

2.

Copy the whole

SCSI_DRV

folder to the C: drive. The folder contains the following

les:

drives.bat

readme.doc

complete.txt

complete2.txt

3.

Remove the MTS400 Series system

Operating System Restore DVD

.

4.

In the

SCSI_DRV

folder, run the

fi

le

drives.bat

(double-click on the

fi

le name).

5.

When the process is complete, restart the instrument.
