SPECIFICATION
INTRODUCTION
PERFORMANCE CONDITIONS
The T E K T R O N IX 2215 Oscilloscope is a rugged, lig h t
weight, dual-channel, 60-MHz instrum ent th a t features a
bright, sharply defined trace on an 80- by 100-mm cathode-
ray tube (crt). Its vertical system provides calibrated
deflection factors from 2 m V per division to 10 V per
division. Trigger circuits enable stable triggering over the
fu ll bandw idth o f the vertical system. The horizontal
system provides calibrated sweep speeds fro m 0.5 s per
division to 50 ns per division along w ith delayed-sweep
features fo r accurate relative-time measurements. A X 10
m agnifier extends the m axim um sweep speed to 5 ns per
division.
ACCESSORIES
The instrum ent is shipped w ith the fo llo w in g standard
accessories:
1 Operators manual
2 Probe packages
1 Service manual
2 Probe grabber tips
For part numbers and fu rth e r in fo rm a tio n about both
standard and optional accessories, refer to the "Accessories"
page at the back o f this manual. Y o u r T e k tro n ix represent
ative, y o u r local T e k tro n ix Field O ffice, or the T e k tro n ix
p ro d u ct catalog can also provide accessories in fo rm a tio n .
The fo llo w in g electrical characteristics (Table 1-1) are
valid fo r the 2215 when it has been adjusted at an ambient
tem perature between +20°C and +30°C, has had a warm-up
period o f at least 20 minutes, and is operating at an
am bient tem perature between 0°C and +50°C (unless
otherwise noted).
Items listed in the "Perform ance Requirem ents" colum n
are verifiable qualitative o r quantitative lim its, w hile items
listed in the "Supplem ental In fo rm a tio n " colum n are
either explanatory notes, calibration setup descriptions,
performance characteristics fo r w hich no absolute lim its
are specified, or characteristics th a t are im practical to
check.
Environm ental characteristics are given in Table 1-2.
The 2215 meets the requirements o f M IL-T-28800B ,
Class 5 equipm ent, except where otherwise noted.
Physical characteristics o f the instrum ent are listed
in Table 1-3.
