To fold the handles:

Press the unfolding knobs on the handles. Lower
them

Never try to unfold the handles without
pressing the unfolding knobs.

The position “folded handles” is used for storage
only

Never use your Pressure Cooker on a heat
source with the handles folded.
To put the handles in the use position
n
Put up the handles until you hear the opening
“CLICK”

6 - When using for the first time
For the appliance including fixed handles:
n
Turn the pan upside down to fit the handles. Place
them in position, engage the screws and screw them
up tightly.
n
After using for a few days, tighten the screws
again.
For the appliance including folding handles:
n
Put up the handles until you hear the opening

Place the pressure regulator valve on the steam
outlet and align one of the two symbols on the valve
with the valve position marker. Press down fully

Turn to the “cook” position

Place the trivet* (H) in the base of the pan.
n
Place the steaming basket* (G) on the trivet*.
n
Fill 2/3 full with water.
n
Close the Pressure Cooker

Place the Pressure Cooker on a heat source and set
to maximum power.
n
When steam begins to escape through the pressure
regulator valve, reduce the heat and wait 20 minutes

When the 20 minutes are up, turn off the heat.

Reduce pressure by putting your Pressure Cooker
under running water from the cold tap

When steam no longer comes from the pressure
regulator valve, turn the pressure regulator valve to
the steam release position
and open the lid

Rinse the Pressure Cooker with water and dry it.
n
Use a metal scourer and a little diluted vinegar to
remove any traces of scale

7 - Before cooking
n
Every time you use the Pressure Cooker, check first
that the steam outlet is clear

Put the pressure regulator valve in position.
Turn to the “cook” position

Add the ingredients and the liquid.

Close the Pressure Cooker

Place the Pressure Cooker on a heat source and set
to maximum power.
8 - During cooking
n
When steam escapes for the pressure regulator
valve and emits a hissing sound, cooking has begun.
Turn down the heat.
n
Time cooking as indicated in the recipe book.
A little steam may escape from the safety valve: this is
normal.
n
As soon as cooking time is up, turn off the heat.
9 - End of cooking
To release the steam
n
Once the heat has been turned off, you have two
options:
n
Slow release of pressure:
turn the valve to the
“depressurise” position

If, on releasing the pressure, you see any
food or liquid start to eject from the valve, turn it
back to the “cook” position then release the
pressure slowly, making sure there is no more
spitting.
n
Fast pressure release:
place the Pressure Cooker
under running water from the cold tap

When steam stops coming out of the pressure
regulator valve: turn the valve to the “depressurise”
position

Open the Pressure Cooker.
10 - Cleaning and maintenance
To clean the pan and the steaming basket
n
Wash after each use with warm water and washing-
up liquid.
To clean the inside of the pan
n
Use a scourer.
To clean the outside of the pan
n
Use a sponge.
n
For appliance with folding handles, we strongly
advise you clean your Pressure Cooker handles folded.
n
You can put the pan in the dishwasher.
