1.4.2 Specifications of the configurable CAN interface
The configurable CAN interface is the input interface for
MasterCAN CAN2RS
data converter
and the output interface for
MasterCAN RS2CAN
data converter. Its specifications correspond
. The data transmission protocol is based on SAE J1939 standard and meets
its requirements.
The converters conduct data exchange in the active mode via CAN interface (automatically or
upon request).
MasterCAN CAN2RS
converter can also receive data in the sniffer mode
(“
sniffering
” CAN
-bus without detection of the Unit itself).
Configuration of converters connection options via CAN interface (see

Line interface (ISO 14230) using Service S6 MasterCAN software (version from 3.15 and

100 slots at a maximum for conversion of selected
