
The clock on your system has a built-in timer function to switch
the system on at a time you preset. There are two separate
alarm times - Alarm 1 and Alarm 2, either or both can be set.
Press the
button repeatedly to display the
settings for Alarm 1 or Alarm 2.
Press again to return to normal operation.
Press the
button repeatedly until the Alarm 1 or
Alarm 2 settings you want to change are displayed.
Press and

button to edit the setting on
the display.
Press the

buttons to select the alarm
setting you want to change.
Press the

buttons to change the setting
you selected.
Repeat the last two steps until you have made all the
necessary changes.
Press the
button to save your changes.
Check that Alarm 1 is correctly set and switched ON.
Check that Alarm 2 is correctly set and switched ON (if
required).
If you have set CD as a wake-up source, check that you
have loaded a disc.
If you have set iPod as a source, check that you have
docked your iPod and the iPod is playing music before you
turn off.
Set to Standby when you have finished listening to your
system.
The volume will get very loud if unattended.
Buzzer alarm (constant volume) is recommended if you think
your system may be unattended when the alarm activates.

If you press the
button to stop the alarm, the system
will switch off for a period of 5 minutes, then the alarm will
repeat. You can continue to press the
button for
further 5 minute periods within the one hour alarm time.

The Sleep function allows you to program the system to switch
itself off after a set period of time in 10 minute steps between
10 minutes and 120 minutes.
Press and

button until the sleep display

required sleep time.

To cancel the Sleep function once set, you can either set to

You can activate or deactivate the alarm (ON or OFF), set the time
andchooseawake-upsource.
If the alarm is set to wake you, the display will show the AL1, AL2
or AL12 symbol when set to Standby to indicate which alarm(s)
are set. The AL12 symbol in the example below indicates that
bothAlarm1andAlarm2areset.
Your system will switch on at the preset time, playing the preset
source. If you have set radio to wake you, the volume will be set
low initially, then get gradually louder until you stop the alarm,
oruntilthesystemhasplayedforanhour.
After a few seconds the Sleep display will disappear and the
'SLEEP'legendwillappearonthedisplay.
