There are four advanced options that may be selected
through the DAB menu.
- Station order preference.
- Manual tuning.
- DRC (Dynamic Range Control) settings.
- SW (Software) version readout.
To select a DAB menu option:

Press the

button.

Change to the menu option you want with the

buttons.

Press

to select the option.

Select the 'Station Order' menu item to change the way in
which the station list is presented from the following
options -

Select this option to display your ten most listened stations
at the top of the station list in alphabetic order, followed by
the remaining available stations. Your favourite stations
will be displayed with a symbol next to the station name.

This option displays all the stations in an alphanumeric
sequence. It is the default option.

This option displays active stations at the top of the service
list in alphanumeric order, moving inactive stations to the
bottom of the list.

NOTE: Inactive stations are explained in more detail in the
DAB RADIO RECEPTION section.

Selecting this option will permanently remove inactive
stations from your station list.

Manual tuning mode enables you to tune directly to a DAB
channel to check the signal strength and to see if there is a
station multiplex present on that channel.
To tune manually:

Select the 'ManualTune' option from the menu.
Press the

buttons to move through the DAB

channels.

Press the

button to show a signal strength

bargraph for this station multiplex.

You can change the position of the aerial to get the best
signal level for this channel.

Press the

button again to return to normal

operation.

The display will show each channel number with its
associated frequency. If there is a multiplex associated with
thischannel,itwillbeshown.

You can set the Dynamic Range Compression (DRC) value to
0, ½ or 1 with this menu option. DRC will make quieter
sounds in the broadcast louder and improve clarity if you
are listening in a noisy environment. Select 0 to switch off
DRC, ½ or 1 to apply DRC with increasing effect.

If you choose this option, the radio's software version is
displayed. This is purely an aid for technicians should your
radio ever need service.

DAB is a terrestrial system and frequencies in different
areas vary. If you move your system to another part of the
country performing a Full Scan may not be enough to re
program the DAB radio and you may need to reset it.

Set the system to Standby.

button again to confirm.

After reset all settings are returned to the factory defaults
and all the presets are erased.
