Faulty auto cutter

Phenomenon

Check method

Faulty connection of the
auto cutter connector

Check the connection of
the auto cutter
connector.

Connect the connector
correctly.

Faulty DC output
voltage from the AC
adapter.

Check whether the
specified AC adapter is
used.

Use the specified AC
adapter.

Faulty auto cutter

Measure the supply
voltage with a DC
voltmeter or an
oscilloscope.

If the supply voltage
ranges from 22.8 to
25.2VDC in Idle state,
replace the auto cutter.

The cutter does not
function

Paper feed failure
(Paper jam)

Check whether or not
the paper is jammed or
torn and caught in the
paper path.

Remove the jammed
paper from the paper
path and set the paper
properly.

If no paper condition is not detected when the receipt paper is used up, the printer will continue to print
without the paper, causing damage to the print head or other problems.
