Setting the System Environment: Printer Status
This item must be set according to the system being used. So, follow the system
instructions for setting.
To enter this menu, in order to prevent operational error, follow the
instruction on the display and press Clear key and Exe key at the same time.
Others are same as the basic operation.
Menu
Function
Parity Set
Set ON/OFF of the parity.
Encode Type
Select Hi-Co or Low-Co. ( Hi-Co supporting encoder only)
Encode First
When this is ON, encoding is done before printing.
Encode Mode
Set the entry direction into the encoder (front or back).
Encode Reject
Set the out put distance of a card rejected
IC-R/W Err mode Select to display or not to display when an error occurred at
IC-R/W
EXE Key Print
When this is ON, data in the memory is printed by Exe key.
Print Retry
When this is ON, card with error is re-output by Clear key.
Parallel Print
Encoding and printing are executed simultaneously.
Card Eject Face
To change the card surface side when the card is ejected.
Print Area
To change the printable area on the card. (Full edge or 0.5mm
from all edge of a card)

Depending on the system, these functions may be invalid.

If the optional encoder is not included, messages relating to Encode will
not be displayed.

Encode Type displays, only when the optional encoder of ISO Hi -Co standard
is connected. This must be set according to the magnetic characteristics of
the card being used.

If the magnetic characteri stics of the card is different fr om t he setti ngs
of this menu, normal encoding will not result.
