Repeat Playback of a Designated Section
(A-B Repeat)
Start playback and designate the point at which the A-B
repeat should start(point A) by pressing the A-B button.
"A TO B REPEAT SET A" appears on the screen and the "
"
indicator lights up in the front panel display.
When the point at which repeat playback should end(point B)
is reached, press the A-B button again.
"A TO B REPEAT ON" appears on the screen and the "
"
indicator lights up in the front panel display.
The designated section will be played repeatedly.

When playing a CD/VCD, the point A and B should be selected
from the same track.
<
When playing a DVD, the point A and B should be selected
from the same title.
<
When playing a DVD, the SEARCH button can be used to fast-
forward to point B after designating point A.

There should be more than one second between A and B.

If one of the following buttons is pressed, A-B repeat mode will
be cancelled:
STOP (VCD, CD), A-B, TITLE/PBC (VCD)
OPEN/CLOSE, POWER

Shuffle Playback
Tracks of a disc can be played randomly.
Press the SHUFFLE button in the stop mode.
"RANDOM ON" appears on the screen, and "RANDOM"
indicator lights on the display.
Press the PLAY button (
y
) to start shuffle playback.

This function doesn't work during PBC playback of a VCD.

If you press the
/
button during shuffle playback, next
track will be randomly selected and played. A track cannot be
replayed during shuffle playback.
<
To stop shuffle playback, press the STOP or the SHUFFLE
button.

If either of the following buttons is pressed, shuffle mode will
be cancelled:
OPEN/CLOSE, POWER
