Fault / remedy
No steam is coming out.
• The water tank is empty. / The
water tank
indi-
cator light comes on.
• The steam release button on the iron has not been
pressed.
• The temperature control dial is set too low.
Very little steam is
coming out.
• If the amount of steam decreases while you are
ironing, press the steam release button to switch
off the steam ironing function to allow more steam
to build up again inside the pressurised steam
container.
It takes a very long time
before the
steam
indi-
cator light comes on.
• If the pressurised steam container has not been
cleaned for some time, limescale residues may
prolong the heating up time.
Water drips out of the
steam vents in the sole-
plate while steam ironing.
• The temperature control dial is set too low.

A small amount of water
sometimes collects
beneath the base station.
• There is a safety valve on the bottom to prevent
too much pressure building up in the pressurised
steam container. This occasionally opens. This is
not a fault. If necessary, place a waterproof mat
under the base station.
There are substantial
amounts of water in the
area around the water
tank.
• Check that the water tank has been fitted cor-
rectly (see “Preparing the steam iron set before
first-time use” - “Filling the water tank”).
• If the water tank has been removed for some time,
a small amount of water may come out of the
joins. This is not a fault. Wipe it off carefully.
You can hear hissing
noises or the electric
pump during use.
• Normal operating noises.
