Troubleshooting
When an indicator is lit or flashing
The LAMP/HEAT indicator will be lit or flashing to notify of problems as described in the table below.

It is time to replace the lamp.
Replace the lamp with a new one. See Page E-87.

The lamp has reached the end of its service life. The power will no longer turn
on.
The lamp has been used for more than 100 hours after reaching its service life. Re-
place the lamp with a new one. See Page E-87.

The lamp cover is open.
The lamp cover is not attached properly. Attach it properly. See Pages E-88 and 89.

The lamp will not light.
Wait at least 90 seconds, then turn the power on again. If the problem persists, un-
plug the power cable and contact the dealer or a TAXAN customer service center.

The temperature is abnormally high.
The thermal protector is activated. When the room temperature is high, move the
projector to a cool place. When the internal temperature of the projector is high,
check the cooling fan ventilation holes. If clogged, clean the filter.
When the temperature protector is activated, the power will turn off, and it might
not come back on even when the power is turned on immediately. In this case,
wait about 90 seconds, then turn the power back on again.

Other Hardware Faults
Unplug the power cable, and request repair service from a dealer or a TAXAN cus-
tomer service center.
When the indicator is lit/flashes when the projector is in a normal condition, or in a condition other than described above,
unplug the power cable and contact the dealer or a TAXAN customer service center.
Thermal Protector
If the internal temperature of the projector becomes abnormally high, the thermal protector will be activated and will turn off
the power of the projector.
If this occurs, please take the following actions.
1.
Disconnect the power plug from the wall outlet.
2.
Check the following matters and take the required measures.
When the projector is being used in a location having a high ambient temperature, set it up again in a cool place.
Check the exhaust vents, and the ventilation slots. If clogged, clean them.
3.
Wait about 60 minutes until the temperature of the projector drops.
If after having performed the above matters, the problem persists, contact the dealer or a TAXAN customer service center.
