The GVI Enabled checkbox can be used to configure whether or not the GVI service is enabled.
When the gateway settings are saved (i.e. by clicking the
OK
button in the
Gateway Settings
dialog), if the GVI Enabled checkbox was enabled, the Ranger Gateway will create a virtual point-
to-point interface on the management application server, and will receive all traffic that is routed to
this virtual interface.
The
GVI Routes
list specifies the set of addresses that should be routed to the virtual interface. An
address may be specified as a entire subnet (e.g. 10.0.0.0/255.255.255.0) or a specific address (e.g.
10.2.5.6). To add a new address, select the empty entry at the end of list and enter the address
information. To delete entries, select the appropriate entries and click the
Delete
button.

The
Gateway Settings…ICMP Proxy
window provides the configuration information for the
Ranger Gateway ICMP Proxy service.
