(1) Nominal operating power with door closed, wood fuel; according to tests carried out as per EN 13240 standard.
(2) DTU 24.1 covering flue ducting, DTU 24.2 covering chimneys equipped with a closed stove; NF EN 13240 covering solid fuel burning
stoves. (Available at AFNOR).
DEFINITION
The insert improves the efficiency and safety of hearth fireplaces. Heat exchange with the convection air takes place in the heat chamber.
For greater comfort than with natural convection, the insert is equipped with two fans that produce two streams of hot air.
The design of the insert enables easy assembly and quick accessibility, simplifying chimney sweeping (without connection).
- IMPORTANT -
You have just purchased an appliance from our range. We would like to congratulate you on your choice. This appliance has been
carefully designed. In order to get the very best out of it, we would advise you to request the services of one of our specialists . They will
carry out the installation in accordance with good practices and guarantee the best operating and safety conditions, taking full
responsibility for the final installation.
Before lighting the fire for the first time, please read these installation and operating manual carefully. Retain the manual and warranty,
which indicates the model and serial Nº. The person who performs the installation work is fully responsible for complying with the
instructions contained in these two documents.
- IMPORTANT ASSEMBLY INFORMATION -
Your chimney «draws well», but you are unsure of the draught value. The draft of a flue is measured in Pascals (Pa). The
inserts, hearths and stoves have been designed, optimised and manufactured as per NF EN 13229 (or NF EN 13240) standards
to operate connected to a chimney with a draft of 12 Pa. Frequently (with more than 50% of flues), the draft is excessively high
(greater than 20 Pa) due to a chimney that is too tall or piped. In this case, the appliances will operate in abnormal conditions
which may lead to:
- Over-consumption of wood: up to triple that with respect to a device with a draft of 12 Pa.
-
A fire that “keeps going out" and burns too quickly while producing insufficient heat.
- Rapid, inevitable wear (cracks in the cast iron plates or the fire bricks)
- Loss of warranty
There is only one solution to avoid these problems!
Have a professional check the chimney draft (with the stove operating) and, if it is higher than 20 Pa, install a draft regulator or
an adapter in the stove’s connection duct.
