4.Filling the
Once you have removed the unit from its packaging and placed it on a flat
fluid tank
surface, loosen and remove the cap from the fluid tank. Using a suitable
funnel, fill the tank with smoke fluid, avoiding any spillage.
1.
Use only high quality
tas
smoke fluid, or fluid recommended to you by
your
tas
sales or service centre. The use of any other fluid may damage
the machine, or cause it to operate improperly.
2.
When the fluid tank is full, replace and securely tighten the cap.
3.
Always ensure, prior to operating the unit, that there is sufficient fluid
present in the tank. Using the unit in the absence of smoke fluid may
cause permanent damage to the internal components.
5.Operating voltage
The unit can operate at either 110 or 230V at either 50 or 60Hz, depen-
and frequency
ding upon the model which you have purchased. If voltage and frequency
indicated on the sticker located on the exterior of the unit does not corre-
spond to the voltage and frequency available in the country in which you
are operating, refer to your local
tas
sales or service centre for advice.
6. Installation
mounting
The unit may be located and operated on the ground or may be suspended
on an appropriate structure. In either case, the position should be able to
sustain the weight of the machine. If installing the unit in a suspended posi-
tion, we recommend the use of the yoke supplied with the unit and a suitable
hookclamp. Never incline the unit more than 15° from the horizontal plane.
safety chain
If suspending the unit, we recommend the use of an appropriate safety chain
fixed to the handle or yoke of the machine and to the structure from which it is
suspended in the case, however unlikely, of the failure of the primary suspen-
sion point of the machine. If using a safety chain other than one supplied by
tas
, ensure that it is of sufficient rating to support the weight of the unit.
protection against liquids
The unit’s internals contain electric and electronic components which
should, under no circumstances, be allowed to make contact with liquids
such as oil or water, or any other liquid: the proper functioning of the unit
may be compromised should this occur.
risk of fire
Each machine generates heat and so must be installed in a well-ventilated position.
The minimum distance from flammable materials is: 0,5m. The minimum distance
of any object from the front of the machine where smoke is ejected is: 2 m.
damage to persons or objects
Never point the output of the unit directly towards persons or objects; the
output is hot and may burn or condense onto material causing staining.
Always ensure that the output of the unit may escape upwards away from
those in the general vicinity, particularly away from eyes and other sensiti-
ve parts of people or animals to avoid any allergic reactions.
Attention
The use of incorrect voltage and frequency settings will seriously affect the
operation of the unit, possibly causing damage to internal components.
