Displaying JPEG files
The recorder can display JPEG files. Before display-
ing JPEG images, read the section "Requirements for
image files" on the next page.
1. HDD: Press the JUKEBOX button to display pho-
tos stored on the HDD.
USB: Press the USB button to display photos sto-
red on a USB device.
DVD: Insert a photo CD and press PLAY

. The
file manager appears and the first title starts play-
ing.
2. Press
X
to change to the list and then press
S
/
T
to select a file. A preview appears in the file man-
ager.
3. Press ENTER. The various options are displayed.
4. Press
S
/
T
to select the option [Play] and press
ENTER. The selected image is displayed in full
screen mode and the slide show begins. The disc
may take a few minutes to read, depending on the
size and number of JPEG files.
Press RETURN during the slide show to dis-
play/hide the file manager.
5. Press STOP to stop the slide show. The image
overview (thumbnails) appears.
6. Press the DISPLAY button to open an information
window with further options.

Press the RETURN button and select the option
[DVD] or [HDD] to exit the menu screen.
Options in file manager
1. Press

in the file manager to select a file and
then press ENTER. The options then appear. The
displayed options may vary depending on the se-
lected data carrier.

button. A marker appears on the file
or folder. Press
X
again to remove the marker.

Repeat this procedure to select more files (fold-
ers).

to select the required option and press
ENTER to confirm your selection.

[Play] Displays the selected file in full screen
mode and starts the slide show
•
[Copy] Copies files to another data carrier. (Pa-
ge 40)
•
[Play List] Copies files to the play list. (Page 36)
•
[Sort] Changes the displayed sequence
•
[Cancel] Exits the options menu
Tip:
New folders can be created on the hard disk.
Select the copying methods [My Group] and
[New Group] and press ENTER.
You can now enter a name for the new group.

File extensions
".jpg"
File size:
Maximum 4 MB recommended
CD-R format:
ISO 9660 and JOLIET.
DVD±R/RW format:
ISO 9660 (UDF bridge format)
Maximum number of files/discs:
1999
(total number of files and folders)
Information on JPEG files
•
Progressive and lossless compression of JPEG
files is not supported.
•
The disc may take a few minutes to read, de-
pending on the size and number of JPEG files.
