Options in audio CD and music menus
1. Press
S

T
to select a folder/file and then press
ENTER. The various options appear. The dis-
played options may vary depending on the se-
lected data carrier.

to select an option and then press
ENTER.
•
[Playback] Starts playing the selected title.
•
[Copy] Copies files to another folder or data
carrier. (Page 40).
•
[Attribute] Displays the attributes.
•
[Play List] Adds files or folders to the play list.
Note
•
The files added to the play list are sto-
red in a subfolder in the relevant direc-
tory.
•
[Sort] Sorts files or folders by name and in
chronological order.
•
[Cancel] Exits the options menu.
Repeat function
1. Press the 1/ALL button repeatedly. "Rep File",
"Rep Group", "Single" and "Folder" are displayed
one after the other.
Tip:
Press the NEXT

button during random playback,
the unit selects a different track and continues random
playback.
Requirements for MP3/WMA audio files
File extensions:
".mp3", ".wma".
Sampling frequency
: 8 - 48 kHz (MP3), 32 - 48 kHz
(WMA)
Bit rate
: 8 - 320 kbps (MP3), 32 -192 kbps (WMA)
CD-R format
: ISO 9660 and JOLIET.
DVD±R/RW format
: ISO 9660 (UDF bridge format)
Maximum number of files/discs
: 1999 (total number
of files and folders).
Programmed playback of audio CDs and
MP3/WMA files
Users can program their own play lists containing audio
CD or MP3/WMA tracks. User-defined play lists can con-
tain a maximum of 99 audio CD tracks or 256 MP3/WMA
files.
1. Select a track/file (or folder) in the file manager.
Selecting several file/tracks (folders)

Press
the
X
button. A tick appears on the fi-
le/track or folder. Press
X
again to remove the
tick. Repeat this procedure to select more fi-
les/tracks (folders).
2. Press ENTER. The various options are displayed.
3. Press
S
/
T
to select the option [Play List] and
then press ENTER. The titles are marked with "P".
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 to select more tracks.
If you select a folder when programming a
playback sequence, all tracks in the folder are
added to the play list.
5. Press
W
and
S
to change between the play list
and the audio directory. All programmed titles ap-
pear in the list.
6. Press
S
/
T
to select the title you wish to play.
7. Press
PLAY
X
to play the title. Playback stops
when the last programmed track in the play list fin-
ishes.
8. To change from programmed to normal playback,
select an album in the file manager and press
PLAY
X
