REAR FOOT BRAKE LEVER HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

It is recommended that brake service is conducted by a certified Tao Motor technician. See your Tao Motor Dealer for details.

Operating the vehicle with improperly adjusted brakes can lead to a loss in braking stopping ability and

can cause an accident. Brakes can become very hot during prolonged braking or use. Never touch brakes

until they are cool.

Brake Lever Height

Loosen locknut (#2)

Remove clevis clip cotter pin (Not shown).

Remove clevis clip pin (#4).

Move clevis clip away from brake lever (#3).

Turn clevis clip (#3) clockwise to raise brake lever or counter clockwise to lower the lever.

Move clevis clip into position and realign with brake lever.

Reinstall clevis clip pin (#4) and cotter pin.

Tighten lock nut (#2).

The rear brake lever's reach should be checked and then adjusted at the intervals specified in the periodic maintenance and lubrication

chart. The brake lever reach should measure from the top of the foot rest to the top of the lowest extension of the lever 7.20 mm (3.00 in)

as shown. To adjust rear brake lever:
