See
IP Settings
for a description.
NTP IP.
The Network Time Protocol (NTP) is
used to synchronize the time of the system
to a reference time server. The NTP IP setting
holds the IP address to a time source where
the system can get the exact time. The system
will use the time to timestamp messages
transmitted to Gatekeepers or Border Control-
lers requiring H.235 authentication. NTP is
also used to display local clock and to tag
missed calls with date and time.
The interval between time queries will vary
with the difference between the unit’s own
time setting and the one obtained through the
query. Larger differences will decrease the
interval between the queries, while smaller
differences will increase the interval.
When set to
Auto
, the system will use the
IP
address
obtained from DHCP or similar to
obtain the time stamp. When set to
Manual
,
the IP address specified will be used.
HTTPS.
Set the IP Services HTTPS Server to
On
(default) or Off.
If
On
, the system is able to make a secure
session to the web server.
If
Off
, the system will not respond to HTTPS
requests.
