Engine Hood

Before opening the engine hood, be
sure to stop the engine. If your hands
or tools should get caught in the fan
or fan belt while the engine is running
they may be severed.

Be sure to secure the engine hood or
cover when opening it. Do not open the
engine hood or cover on slopes or in
strong wind.

When opening and closing the engine
hood, be careful not to get your hands
or other parts of your body caught.
Tool Case
Lock and unlock
1. Insert and turn the starter key
counterclockwise (clockwise) to unlock
(lock).
Opening
1. Insert and turn the starter key clockwise
to unlock the engine hood.
2. Lift the engine hood fully.
3. Raise the stay (1), then insert and fix it
into the stay hole of the body.
Closing
1. Support the engine hood by hand, remove
stay (1), and fix it to the original position.
2. Close the engine hood and press it down
until a click is heard at the front.
