Operation
Program radio stations
• Automatically
Press and hold the PROG button for 2 seconds or more to activate the automatic Program mode.
◦ [SCANING] is displayed.
◦ All available stations are programmed and stored.
◦ The first programmed radio station is broadcasted automatically.
• Manually
1. Tune to a radio station.
2. Press the PROG button to activate the Program mode.
The preset number will blink.
3. Press the PRESET ► l / l ◄ buttons to allocate a number to this radio station.
Note!
If you select a number higher than 20, then the preset number will be changed to “1” automa -
tically.
4. Press the PROG button again to store the station.
Repeat above steps 1 to 4 for each station you want to store in memory with a preset number.
Note! If a power failure occurs or the CD-Receiver is disconnected from the electrical outlet, the
preset stations will not be erased.
RDS (Radio Data System) Reception
Many FM stations are broadcasting with added data compatible with RDS (Radio Data System).
Repeatedly press the INFO button to display the following information.
• Station Name
When an RDS station is received, the name of that station will be displayed.
• PTY (Program Type)
Describes the style or genre of the program that is being broadcast.
• Clock
Displays the current time provided automatically by the broadcaster. The RDS CLOCK system
may not properly operate in areas where RDS CLOCK service is not available.
Once RDS CLOCK service is available, the RDS CLOCK system will start operation.
• Text
The broadcaster may include a message that displays information about the current program.
• Frequency
Displays the frequency of the current station.
CD Player Operation
CD Playing
1. Rotate the INPUT knob on the front panel or directly press the button on the remote control-
ler to select the DISC input. The word [DISC] will be displayed on the Display.
2. Press the button to open the disc tray door and place the CD disc on the disc tray (with the
printed side up).
3. Press the button to close the disc tray door, the CD-Receiver will read the disc and play it
automatically. Note! If in the Stop mode, please press the ► ll button to start playing the disc.
4. Press the ► ll button to temporarily stop the playing, press the button again, it will continue to
play.
5. Press the ■ button to stop the disc playing.
To Skip or Search and Play
• Press the l ◄◄ / ►► l buttons on the front panel or ► l / l ◄ buttons on the remote controller
once or more to skip previous/forward one or more tracks on the disc.
• Press and hold the
l
◄◄ / ►►
l
buttons on the front panel or ►► / ◄◄ buttons on the remote
controller to search for the position that you intend to start playing.
Release to resume normal play.
