The DVD32R has a standby mode which can be entered by
pressing
standby
either on the front panel or the remote. The blue
power LED will be dimmed and the display switched off. Normal
operation may be resumed by pressing any button on the front
panel or the remote. You can keep the DVD32R in standby for
long periods of time without penalty of a high electricity bill, as
the DVD32R includes its own low-current standby circuitry.
The backlit remote is designed to control your complete home
cinema system. The remote comes preprogrammed and ready to
use for many TAG McLaren products, including TAG McLaren AV
processors, home cinema amplifiers and your DVD player
DVD32R.
Other devices which are not preprogrammed to work with the
remote will need to be ‘learnt’. To program the remote for other
devices, you will need the original remote for the unit you wish to
control. Details of how to program the remote are included at the
end of this manual.
Before using the remote for the first time, you will need to insert
the batteries supplied (be sure to insert the batteries with the
polarity as indicated).
For optimum operation you should point the remote towards your
DVD32R when using it. The red remote active LED on the front
panel flashes when commands are received from the remote.
