automatic door
closing
after long
switch-off
periods
The door, when open, covers part of the essential cooling
arrangement of the DVD32R. This isn’t a problem as long as the
door is not kept open for too long, a condition the DVD32R
monitors for you all the time. As soon as the DVD32R considers it
essential to close the door to provide extra cooling to your
valuable DVD32R electronics, it will shut the door automatically,
after giving you an approx. 10 second warning to remove your
hands. During the warning, the front display (if switched on) and
the on-screen display will count down whilst the blue light inside
the DVD32R door will flash.
If the DVD32R is switched off for a longer period or is started from
a low temperature the grease between the precision bearings and
polished steel bar, holding the door, might be ‘sticky’. The result is
that the electrical motor cannot open the door because the safety
switches will detect a ‘blocked door’ condition and hence will
interrupt the opening sequence, showing
DOOR ERR
and the
request to switch the player off and on again. Do this and when
re-trying to open the sliding door, carefully assist with your hand
the door movement during opening. As soon as the stickiness is
removed, the door will work as smoothly as before.
