VIDEO OUT
YUV Component Video output for connecting a video monitor fitted with a
corresponding Component Video input. The video signals of the internal DVD
player are present at this output. The YUV signals of an iPod connected to the
system can also be reproduced in this way, provided that it supports this video
norm; in this case you will need to set the iPod to YUV mode.
The output of the DVD player can deliver standard or progressive video signals;
progressive video signals provide better picture quality. In this case the monitor
must be designed to accept progressive input signals. The output signals can
be set to standard or progressive signals in the Setup menu of the disc player
(see the chapter entitled ‘
DVD player setup menu
’).
PAL / NTSC
Change-over switch for the DVD output signal between PAL and NTSC video
norm. PAL is used primarily in Europe, NTSC in the USA.
VIDEO OUT / CVBS
Output socket for connecting a video monitor with Composite (FBAS) signal
input.
The video signals of the internal DVD player are present at this output. The
K2
can also reproduce signals from a video-capable iPod connected to the system.
iPod
Socket for an iPod (an adapter lead is included in the accessory pack).
DVD HDMI OUT
HDMI output for Plasma / LCD panel or projector.
The video signals of the internal DVD player can be made available at this
output. To accomplish this you must switch on the option HDMI output in the
setup menu of the disc player (see chapter ‘
DVD player setup menu
’).
TV IN
Sound input for TV sound reproduction.
TAPE OUT / TAPE IN
Sockets for an audio recorder (Tape, DAT, etc.).
AUX IN
Universal pre-amplifier input.
Can be upgraded to a phono input using the
PH2000 external phono pre-
amplifier.
RS 232
Software update interface
This port can also be used to provide control of device functions from a
computer, making it possible to control the
K2
remotely using a home
automation system such as those made by CRESTRON, AMX, etc.
For external control the
K2
must be equipped with special software. For
