between 60 kHz (‘CLEAN’ mode) and 120 kHz bandwidth
(‘WIDE’ mode). ‘WIDE’ mode is indicated by the blue LED.

The bandwidth cannot be switched to the 'WIDE' mode when
playing DSD files with 2,8 MHz (DSD64). (see section entitled
‘D/A converter settings’

Volume

Increases / reduces volume
You can disable the volume control if you wish, in which case it
is by-passed by a gold-contact relay. This is accomplished by
setting the switch on the back of the
DAC 8 DSD
to ‘LINE’. The
headphone volume is independent and can still be adjusted.

When headphones are plugged in, the analogue outputs are
automatically switched off.
