SIMPLE MENU SYSTEM
The Simple Menu system on the C310xr
Audio Codec has been designed to allow
the user to configure the essential param-
eters quickly. Five keys are used to drive
the menu system :-

NOTE: The screen saver function is automatically
disabled when the unit is operating in Simple Menu
mode.
Unit Description
The software release and serial number of
the unit are displayed on the Title screen
as follows :-

ISDN Status
The status of the ISDN B Channels is
accessed by pressing the
button when
the Title Screen is shown, and is dis-
played as follows :-
B1: Ready
B2: Ready
The ISDN status options are:
load (loading patch)
Ready (layer 1 activated)
Synch (Bad Line)
Dorm (dormant)
Dial (dialling)
Con (connected)
Clear (clearing)
Incom (incoming)
NOTE: If the C310xr is configured in X.21 Mode,
the ISDN port can still function, however the audio
will not be routed through to the ISDN connector.
Audio Status
The status of the received audio and the
current operating mode of the codec is
accessed by pressing the
button, and is
displayed as follows :-
AUDIO STATUS: SYNC
MODE: 15KHz Stereo
The C310xr has been designed to Mute
the audio signal if end-to-end synchroni-
sation is not achieved. The operating
Mode shown here is the actual mode in
which the codec has achieved end-to-end
synchronisation, and not necessarily the
configured mode, since the C310xr has
the capability of intelligently changing the
mode depending on the Audio Priority
and Auto Hunt configurations.
ISDN Audio
MENU : ISDN Audio
STATUS : 15KHz Mono
The
button can now be used to edit the
ISDN Audio mode, the display changes as
follows:
EDIT : ISDN Audio
OPTION : 15KHz Mono
The
and
buttons can be used to
select the required ISDN Audio mode:
The
YES
button is used to confirm the
selection, the
NO
button to abort the edit.
The user can also change the ISDN Audio
mode dynamically while ISDN calls are
connected, and automatically add or
delete ISDN B Channels as required.

TE: When operating in Mono, only the Left Input
and Left Output audio channels are active if the
Audio Mixing option has been switched OFF.
ISDN Destination Number
MENU : ISDN Dest Num 1
Null
The
button is used to edit the ISDN
Destination Number, the display changes
as follows:
EDIT : ISDN Dest Num 1
The
and
buttons can be used to
scroll through 0 - 9, the numerical keypad
can also be used for entry. The
button
confirms the character selection and
moves to the next character position.
