Closing sequence / clamp
The Dynafix base is closed mechanically by four
spring loaded pistons and is also similar for chuck in
center. The locking force is increased with the aid of
compressed air, the Turbo function. When the
maximum locking force is achieved, the air pressure
can be turned off. Locking force decreases if the
compressed air is turned off. It is recommended to
keep the air pressure on for maximum locking force
with exception for Combi which however requires to
have the air turned off.
Opening sequence / unclamp
The chuck is closed in the idle position and can only
be opened by applying air pressure through
connection (1) for Dynafix and (11) for chuck in
center. The opening air pressure presses the locking
pistons back so that the steel balls can move inwards
and release the pallet. The closing air, Turbo
pressure, must be released before the chuck can be
opened.
Turbo / Air blast
The clamping force is increased with the aid of
compressed air, the Turbo function. The chucks Z-
references are cleaned with air blasts through
connection (2) for Dynafix and (12) for chuck in
center.
