1. Lubricate the cylinder surfaces and all parts
of the chuck house with Klüber Barrieta L
55/2 or equivalent. Mount the springs as
shown below. Parts and surfaces are to be
generously lubricated. Incorrect mounting of
springs may damage the chuck, full clamping
force will not be achieved.
2. Remount the disc.
Tightening torque is
40 Nm. Difficulties in
mounting the disc
can be due to
incorrectly mounted
springs.
3. Remount the top cover and retaining ring.
Repeat the procedure with the other pistons.
Install the chuck according to this instruction.
Checking springs and O-ring – Macro or Combi
Do not disassemble the chuck in center. It can only
be done by authorized 3R personnel. At a
disassembly, accuracy will be lost.
