The appliance is type C, meaning that the combustion circuit is sealed off from
the appliance and equipped with a fan positioned immediately before the com-
bustion chamber.
The
DEVYL
boiler must be commissioned the
fi
rst time by the Technical Support
Service. The boiler then works automatically.
However, you may need to start up the boiler again at a later date without invol-
ving the Technical Support Service, for example after a long period of absence.
In this case, the following checks and operations must be carried out:
- Check that the gas shut-off valve and water taps are open.
- Access the controls by pressing the top part of the cover, lifting up the bottom
edge and allowing it to rotate carefully.

- Turn the dial to “ON” and check that the green light
fl
ashes.
- Turn the temperature control (
B
) by about two thirds, if it has not already
been set.
- Turn the main dial (
A
) to the “
ON
” position.
- Open a domestic hot water tap.
- The boiler starts up, turning on the burner after a few seconds, needed to
check the appliance. The green light (
C
) stops
fl
ashing and stays on. When
the water tap is shut-off, the boiler switches off and prepares for the next
start-up.
b
If there is an anomaly when the burner starts up, or if the safety thermo-
stat is tripped, the boiler performs a “LOCKOUT” and the red light (
D
)
comes on to signal the “burner block”.
To restore the start-up conditions, turn the main dial (
A
) to “
OFF
” and then to
“
ON
”. The red light (
D
) switches off.
If this does not resolve the problem the
fi
rst time, repeat the operation 2 or 3
times. If the problem persists, please contact the Technical Support Service.
b
If there is a power cut during normal operation, the boiler performs a
“LOCKOUT” (the green light (
C
) switches off). When power is restored,
the boiler restarts automatically.
4.2 Changing the domestic hot water
temperature
Turn the temperature control (
B
) clockwise to increase the temperature of the
domestic hot water and anti-clockwise to decrease the temperature of the do-
mestic hot water.

OFF
” position.
- Turn the main system dial to “OFF”.
- Check that the green light switches off (
C
).
