Taking a call

Take the call
If the handset is in the base station and automatic answer
(
AUTO ANSWER
) is activated, you only need to take the
handset from the base station to take the call.

If the caller permits the display of his phone number (CLIR

) and you
have activated your caller number display (CLIP

), the number of the
caller appears in the display.
The caller number display (CLIP
2
) is an optional service pro-
vided by your network operator. If this service is not avail-
able, the caller’s number is not displayed when a call is re-
ceived. Contact your network provider for further informa-
tion.
If the caller’s number is stored in the phone book,

number and associated name of the caller flash alternately in the
handset display. In addition, the ringing tone assigned to the respect-
ive number in the phone book rings.
If no caller number display is available or a caller has suppressed his
caller number display,
CALL
" appears in the display. Such calls are
not recorded in the call list.

It is also possible to press the Call button first to obtain the
dialling tone for an outside line. The digits then entered are
dialled immediately. It is not possible to correct wrong digits
individually using this dialling procedure.
