14.8.2. Set the Answer Delay
You can set the number of rings before the answering machine answers and starts playing your OGM. You can
set the answering machine to answer after 2 to 10 rings or TOLL SAVE.
With TOLL SAVE selected, the answering machine answers after 2 rings when you have new messages, and after
4 rings when you have no new messages.
Through telephone base:
1. Press Menu in idle mode.
2. Press or to select Ans. Machine , then press Ok .
3. Press or to select TAM Settings , then press Ok .
4. Press or to select Answer Delay , then press Ok .
5. Press or to select 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 , 10 rings , then press Ok to save. You hear confirmation tones.
Through cordless handset:
1. Press
in idle mode.
2. Press or to select Ans. Machine , then press .
3. Press or to select TAM Settings , then press .
4. Press or to select Answer Delay , then press .
5. Press or to select 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 , 10 rings , then press to save. You hear confirmation tones.
14.8.3. Recording Time
You can set the maximum length of the recording time of the incoming messages.
Through telephone base:
1. Repeat step 1 to 3 in Section 14.8.1.
2. Press or to select
Record Time , then press Ok .
3. Press or to select 60s , 120s , 180s , then press Ok to save. You hear confirmation tones.
Through cordless handset:
1. Repeat step 1 to 3 in Section 14.8.1.
2. Press or to select
Record Time , then press .
3. Press or to select 60s , 120s , 180s , then press to save. You hear confirmation tones.
14.8.4. Answering Machine Remote Access
You can access the answering machine remotely by dialling your fixed telephone number from any touch-tone
telephone.
Your phone lets you check your messages, or otherwise operate your answering machine, by calling the answering
machine when you are away from home by entering a 4-digit remote access PIN on a tone-dialing phone.
By default, the 4-digit remote access code is 0000. It is highly advised to modify it for privacy issues.
14.8.5. Activate Remote Access
Through telephone base:
1. Press Menu in idle mode.
2. Press or to select Ans. Machine , then press Ok .
3. Press or to select TAM Settings , then press Ok .
4. Press or to select Remote Acc. , then press Ok.
5. Press or to select On or Off , then press Ok to save. You hear confirmation tones.
Through cordless handset
