Charging the batteries
The batteries are not yet charged when you first unpack the telephone. To charge the
batteries, place the handset in the base station (or in the charging bay). The blinking
battery symbol in the handset indicates the charging process. The charging time for the
batteries is approx. 18 hours.
The battery charging status is indicated by the following indicators in the handset display:
Batteries full
Battery charge reduced to 2/3
Battery charge reduced to 1/3
Batteries almost empty
After inserting new batteries in the handset the display will only indicate the correct bat-
tery charge status after a fully completed charge cycle. Only after the first fully comple-
ted charge cycle your cordless telephone is fully operational.
Important!
• The handset display will only indicate the correct battery charge status after
a fully completed charge cycle.
• Always use NiMH rechargeable batteries, never use regular batteries /
primary cells.
