9. Remove the fixed side plate screws.
10. Release the fixed side plate latch.
11. Pull the fixed side plate off of the weld head. See Changing the
Side Plates for detailed instructions.
12. Clean the surfaces of fixed side plate and the movable side plates
that contact the work with a wire brush.
13. Wipe the surfaces of the fixed and movable side plates with
isopropyl alcohol.
14. Remove the two locating shoulder screws and button head screw
to remove the weld head assembly. See Figure 43.
15. Disconnect the motor control connector.
16. Unscrew the nut and disconnect the purge gas line.
17. Pull the weld head assembly straight out from the base to access
the power cable. See Figure 44
