SWINGARM PIVOT SHAFT
Measure the pivot shaft runout using the dial gauge. If the
runout exceeds the service limit, replace the pivot shaft with a
new one.
Swingarm pivot shaft runout
Service limit: 0.6 mm (0.02 in)
09900-20607: Dial gauge
09900-20701: Dial gauge chuck
09900-21304: V blocks
SWINGARM PIVOT BUSHING
Insert the collars into the swingarm bushings, move the collar up
and down and check for any play. If there is excessive play,
replace the bushings with new ones.
• Remove the swingarm pivot bushings with the special tools.
09923-74511: Bearing remover
09930-30104: Rotor remover sliding shaft
REASSEMBLY
Reassemble the swingarm in the reverse order of disassembly.
Pay attention to the following points:
• Press the swingarm pivot bushings into the swingarm at 8 mm
(0.31 in) depth

• Press the dust seals (inside) into the swingarm at 3 mm (0.12
in) depth

The removed bushings must be replaced with new
ones.
