• Place a clean rag over the piston to prevent it from popping
out and then force out the piston using compressed air.
• Remove the dust seals

BRAKE CALIPER INSPECTION
CALIPER AND PISTON
Inspect the caliper cylinder wall and piston surface for scratch,
corrosion or other damages.
If any abnormal condition is noted, replace the it with a new one.
Do not use high pressure air to prevent piston dam-
age.
* Take care not to scratch the caliper bore.
* Do not reuse the removed dust seals and piston seals
to prevent fluid leakage.
