8. Mark the top dead center position on
the “cap type” filter wrench or on the
oil filter. Use an oil filter wrench to
tighten the filter 2 turns or to speci-
fied torque.
Oil filter tightening torque:
20 N·m (2.0 kgf-m, 14.5 lbf-ft)
9. Replace the drain plug gasket

with a new one. Reinstall the drain
plug

and gasket

. Tighten the
plug securely with a torque wrench.
Pour about 3200 ml (3.4 US qt) of
the specified oil in the filler hole.
Tighten the oil filler cap. Start the
engine and allow it to idle for three
minutes.
Drain plug tightening torque:
23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lbf-ft)
Mark top dead center
Oil filter wrench
Tighten the filter 2 turns or
to specified torque.
In the position at which
the filter gasket first
contacts the mounting
surface.
