“ON” position
The ignition circuit is completed and the
engine can be started. The headlight
and taillight will automatically turn on.
The key cannot be removed in this posi-
tion.
NOTE: Start the engine promptly after
turning the key to the “ON” position, or
the battery will lose power due to con-
sumption by the headlight and taillight.
“P” (PARKING) position
The taillight will come on to increase
visibility for temporary road side parking
at night. Push down the key and turn it
to the “P” position. The key can be
removed.

WARNING
If the motorcycle falls down due to a
slip or collision, unexpected damage
to the motorcycle could cause the
engine to keep running, which could
result in a fire, or could result in
injury from moving parts such as the
rear wheel.
If the motorcycle falls down, turn the
ignition switch off immediately. Ask
your authorized Suzuki dealer to
inspect the motorcycle for unseen
damage.
