When the console is in “Biopsy” mode, depressing the footswitch will activate the vacuum
and operation of the handpiece.
v
When the console is in “Lavage” mode, the user can automatically aspirate and irrigate the
biopsy cavity. It is not necessary to depress the footswitch.

When the console is in “Manual Aspiration” mode, depressing the footswitch allows the
user to independently control aspiration without taking a tissue sample. This function may
be used to vacuum or irrigate the biopsy cavity.
Additional operating instructions are required for a stereotactic biopsy and a stereotactic
adapter must be utilized. Suros offers four stereotactic adapter models, which are depicted
in Figures 6, 7, 8, and 9.
